Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Dr Mohammed Haliru appeared in court on a wheelchair today, January 5.

Mohammed, an ex-chairman of PDP and former minister of defense alongside his son, Abbah Mohammed are alleged to have aided in the diversion of funds slated for arms procurement by the Office of the National Security Adviser.

The charge sheet – a four-count charge – by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was scheduled for afore-mention on the day he appeared in court in December.

Abbah Mohammed is alleged to have received N600 million from Dasuki’s office on behalf of BAM Projects & Properties Limited, an Abuja-based realty company.
