Going by the recent activities of the power duo, one of Africa’s finest groups, Psquare made up Peter and Paul Okoye, it seems that they may never perform together under the PSquare brand…
If Peter’s recent solo performance in Abuja is anything to go by, then lets get ready to say goodbye. Earlier in the month Peter Okoye released his first solo single called “Look Into My Eyes” just shortly after a very public fallout with his brothers Paul and Jude Okoye.
According to theNet.ng, Peter Okoye has finally made his debut as a solo act under the name ‘Mr P’.
Peter took to the stage performing under the name ‘Mr P’ and apparently, he is also set to perform solo again on 7 April, 2016 in Dubai.

Shehu Sani accuses El-Rufai of Plotting Against Buhari

vllkyt5c656bb42oh.f1dd50f4
Governor Nasir El-Rufai,of Kaduna state has been accused of “thinking of removing President Muhammadu Buhari.” According to The Interview magazine, Mr Sani said: “It would be counter-productive for the Governor to start thinking of evicting Buhari in 2019 to be the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. “El-Rufai should do his job and stop putting his eyes on the Presidency.”
Premium Times reports that Senator Sani and Governor El-Rufai have been loggerhead for undisclosed political reasons, leading to Sani’s suspension by the state branch of the party.
Sani accused El-Rufai of ruling like “an emperor,” promising to “give him war or peace,” whichever he chooses. In the same vein, former military governor of Kaduna state, Dangiwa Umar, a retired colonel, gave his first major interview in 23 years in which he laid in on Governor Adams Oshiomohle; and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains, Edwin Clark and Tony Anenih, calling them “traitors.”
Responding to a question on the fortunes of former President Goodluck Jonathan after he was defeated in March, Mr. Umar said, “I compare them (Oshiomhole and co) to insects that cling to flowers.
They are attracted by the nectar rather than by the beauty of the flower. “Governor Adams Oshiomhole, who generously praised Jonathan as a true democrat, suddenly turned into his most virulent critic.” Mr Umar revealed that during Jonathan’s testy days as acting President, he advised him to sack his service chiefs, but that the former president was too confused and agitated to act.
“He complained,” Umar said, adding that “the NSA had informed him that the service chiefs were disgruntled with the way the sick and bedridden Umaru Yar’Adua was being treated and that he, the acting president, was most disloyal.” Senator Sani recently came under severe criticism by governors under the auspice of Northern State Governors Forum (NSGF).
The governors said that Senator Sani erred over his comment on their trip to Saudi Arabia to obtain loans from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), saying that lawmaker displayed ignorance on how government works.

How Saraki Turned Emir Of Ilorin Into ‘houseboy

Bukola Saraki Elected Senate President
Bukola Saraki Elected Senate President
Increasingly, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, is becoming a tool in the hands of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, SaharaReporters sources in Kwara State say.
The Senate President, who is facing prosecution for alleged false declaration of assets and possible loss of his exalted position, is using a variety of weapons to fight his political battles, and the most prominent of his battle axes are the Emir and State Governor Abdulfattah Ahmed.
A recent victim of the onslaught is Alhaji Ibrahim Oniye, Makaman Ilorin, who was suspended by Governor Ahmed as Chairman of Kwara State Parent-Teachers Association.
The suspension of Oniye, who was also barred by the Emir from stepping into his palace, did not come as a shock to many people in the state.
The man, although blind, is a reputed straight talker, who is not afraid to speak the truth to those in authority. His fearless nature was said to be one of the attributes that endeared him to the late Emir Aliyu Abdulkadir, the 10th Emir of Ilorin, who appointed him the first Makaman of the Ilorin Emirate in 1993.
Our sources say what got Oniye into trouble was his decision to tell Alhaji Sulu-Gambari that more people in Kwara are angry with Saraki and are actually cursing him. Oniye was said to have told the Emir that those cursing Saraki are mainly the poor, who see the Senate President as one who has taken what belongs to them and continues to do so through Governor Ahmed, who is seen as a stooge.
Alhaji Oniye was said to have made this observation known to the Emir at a meeting called by the latter to find out why huge financial outlays on prayers by Saraki failed to stop the Supreme Court from halting the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) from going ahead with the Senate President’s prosecution.
In attendance at the meeting were prominent Muslim clerics and Ilorin title holders, who preferred to deodorize the real situation until Oniye spoke and told the meeting about the anger of Kwarans with Saraki.
The treatment of Oniye by the palace and the governor has sparked disquiet in the state and invited scrutiny of the Emir.
SaharaReporters sources said that as word leaked that Alhaji Oniye had been suspended and that his PTA chairmanship would be taken away, the political establishment in Ilorin reversed the decision. By the time SaharaReporters reached Alhaji Oniye, it was apparent he had ready-made answers. Carefully picking his words, he denied he had not been suspended and blamed the news on those that might be jealous of his many titles and prestigious position within the Ilorin Emirate.
He also said he was never removed as the PTA chairman at the state level. He stressed that as he had never been “queried or indicted” for any malfeasance, he couldn’t have been removed.
Asked if he had spoken up for teachers whose salaries had remained unpaid in the state, he waxed philosophical saying he is the “father of all” and then asked rhetorically if there are no unpaid teachers in Osun, Bauchi, Kano and other places.
When SaharaReporters pressed Alhaji Oniye regarding the Saraki trial in Abuja, he gave interesting answers. First, he said it was his duty not to allow the image of Ilorin to be dragged in the mud by the trial since Saraki was Ilorin’s son, and later, that he would advise people not to jubilate over Saraki’s predicament unless he is pronounced guilty by the tribunal. When our reporter read this portion of his statement to him he asked that it be taken out completely saying he had no comment on Saraki because he doesn’t want to be dragged into politics.

Niger Delta 1
You know you do not have enough self-control to be a pastor, why get involved? A magistrate court in Kwale, Ndokwa West area of Delta State has sentenced a 38-year-old Pastor, Ruben Okotie, to six months imprisonment for seducing his house maid with red candle.
Presiding magistrate of the Court, Chief magistrate Carl Moeteke, who sentenced the Pastor, said he was found guilty with overwhelmed evidence in a three counts of conspiracy, attempted r*pe and illicit s*xual act.
Pastor Ruben was sentenced to six months without option of fine to serve as warning to others.
It was gathered that the Pastor on the 22nd day of February 2016 in Kwale town seduced his housemaid with a red candle after his wife had gone to visit her sick parents in a neighbouring community.
The housemaid, 13yrs old Helen, an indigene of Akwa Ibom State, was said to have resisted the attempt by the pastor to make love to her on her return from market where she had gone to buy food stuff and other cooking materials.
The pastor was said to have threatened to eject her from his house if she failed to comply. It was stated that a week after, the pastor pounced on the maid and pushed a red candle into her private part after forcing her into his bedroom.
He was reportedly arrested in Kwale when his wife reported the maid’s complaints to the police.
Police prosecution witness, Sgt Promise Enebeli, told the court that Pastor Ruben was arrested when the matter was reported at the Kwale Police Division, adding that upon interrogation, he confessed to the crime and was charged to the court.
Funny enough, the Pastor’s lawyer, Mr. Thomas Okobi, had dismissed claims by his wife, Mrs. Esther Okotie, insisting that his client (Pastor Ruben) was innocent of the crime.
